contractual brief :
a brief that is fixed, not negotiable, once signed everything is done.
(example production manager)
negotiated:
to reach with an agreement or compromise by discussion with others.
(example music video)
formal:
done in accordance with rules of convention or etiquette.
informal:
not formal, having a relaxed, friendly and unofficial style manner.
commission:
the act of granting certain powers or authority to carry out a particular task or duty.
tender:
The production company might find out someone is looking for a video. They put together a brief with a proposal and a budget and send it to the potential client. The client would look at all the different tenders they receive and choose the one they prefer.
cooperative brief:
You work alongside other production companies or organisations who also have a brief therefore your brief has to co-operate with the brief they are working on as well
competition:
the activity or condition of competing for a prize or profit. for example, a rivalry between two businesses or more striving for the same market.
I took an example of a brief assignment and I analysed it to see what is essential. I highlighted and broken down the brief in a simple format to illustrate what the client wants.
