What does copyright mean?
Copyright means that the author of an original work is given exclusive rights to that wowrk for a given amount of time.

what is a location release form and why is it needed for filming?
Having the right to use their location and to allow them to show their setting in a film or tv advert. Its the rights to films/record locations for shooting.

what is a contributer release form and why is it required?
A form that gives ownership rights. Its required to commercially exploit the contributers.

About a boy in the bathroom talking about confidence and trying to inspire people to become more confident. (An inspirational video)
The target audience are both genders, middle class and mixed race american teenagers (asian, black, white) located in america. He grabs interest of people who lack in self-confidence and wants some advice on how to gain some, overall anyone and reaches out to a very broad audience around the world.The digital platform for this video would be the internet on youtube where most people go to watch videos to be entertained. People can access through any video from music videos to inspirational videos. For jrekml 'Be More Confident' is used to inspire and encourage people to become more self-confident.the qualities of this video is HD quality as the video is not pixilated, theres not editing in this video and is all long shot of him talking about confidence. the fact that he's in a bathroom, the sound quality is echoing through the room making a problem for people to hear him clearly.

The Cuddle Song

This video is about two people made up a song called 'The cuddle song' singing in a bedroom with average lighting. They make the song humorous and makes fun out of people who are not 'romantic'.
The target audience are aimed for people who are both genders, teenagers to young adults, middle class and with all different types of race because of one of the characters dialect seems to be more 'ghetto' and his nationality is asian-american which captures a lot of audiences interest including the people who are into music. The digital platform of this video is on the internet (youtube) and the purpose of it was to entertain people and make music also to promote themselves as a musician, rapper etc.
The camera quality seemed to be a HD quality as the video was not pixilated and the images was very clear to see. There were no editing throughout out the video and it was a long shot. The sound quality was very clear, everything was heard when they sang, overall the video was very well done.

Task 1: Hi, I'm Belinda ....

Hi, My name is Belinda Normsaskul, I'm 16 years old and currently studying in City of Westminister College in London doing a Creative Media course. I Have 2 older brothers, My oldest brother is a lawyer and my 2nd oldest brother is currently in University studying Media Production. I live in East London and was born in Whipps cross Hospital in Leytonstone but my parents are originally from Thailand, Bangkok, I went to live in Thailand for 5 years and came back to the UK when I was 6 years. At home, I often make Youtube videos with my cousin and do collaborations with other youtubers and have 600+ subscribers, I enjoy doing it because I get alot of positive feedback and gives me something to do when I have spare time at home. I have a part-time job in a local resturant where I work every saturday evening between 5pm - 10:30pm.

As for hobbies.... I like to sing and do a lot of creative activities cause thats what I'm best at and enjoy doing. I've been singing since I was 6 but never performed in front of people, only sang when I'm alone or in my room. I hope in the future that I will have a decent job, a stable relationship and a family, that way I will feel secure and happy and know for definate that everything I want in life has been achieved. I want to be a journalist but still want to explore different jobs incase I don't make it as a journalist and to see if there is a better oppurtunity for me. Also I like to go out with friends and families, internet, music, movies and other social activities. Often I go my laptop and use social network such as Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. Tumblr is a blog that I go on everyday just because it contains alot of photography and creative pictures on it that keeps me interested all the time.

Glossary Terms

Video formats e.g - Technology of electrically capturing, recording, processing, storing, reconstructing a sequence of still images representing scences in motion.  e.g digital video clips, computer file system. 

Streaming - Data streaming, commonly seen in the forms of audio and video streaming, is when a multimedia file can be played back without being completely downloaded first. e.g can be used on Mobile Phones.

File Compression - Compression is the reduction in size of data in order to save space or transmission time. e.g file compression is usually used on audio files to distinguish a dynamic range.

 Aspect Ratios:4:3,16.9 - The aspect ratio of an image describes the proportional relationship between its width and its height. e.g Blu-ray Disc and DVD.

 Frame Rates - The number of still pictures per unit of time of video having a range from 6 - 8 frames per a second.  e.g computer graphics, video cameras, film cameras and motion capture systems.

Task 5

Ways I can structure my time:

• Sleep - To make sure I get enough rest for college and work, so I don't feel tired during the day and to make sure I get work done as much as possible.

• Organization - To make sure I keep my work is kept in a folder so its easy and simple also to keep track of what task I'm on.

• Hours of College work - Have enough time to complete most of my work and ask for help if needed.

• Breaks -  To have at least 15 minutes of break. (e.g going to the toilet, lunch etc.)

• Socialise with Friends - Letting myself to socialise with others and get to know the people I might work with also might help me with communication skills in a group.

Getting Support:

For support, I can contact my study buddy and for emotional or serious support, I can make contact with the safe guarding team (Safeguarding@cwc.ac.com). For admin or EMA support, I would go to the 2nd floor - Next to the library. If I need any advice on careers, I would go to my Careers advisor or I could go and find my tutor in the staff room which is in room 2NE5.

Review Projects:

The way I review my work/videos are by watching them and pick out any missing elements in the video and try to improve it next time, I do another video or get someone else to watch my work and ask for a feedback and how I can make it better.

Be An effective Learner:

Make sure I structure my time well and that I don't waste my college time messing about in class also to arrive on time. Use my time at home wisely to finish any homework. Ask a teacher/tutor or another student when I don't understand something. Make sure I bring all the equipment I need for class so I don't fall behind and try not to be distracted during lessons.
